Tasting Notes.

Bedlam Brewery, Albourne, West Sussex.

1. SALEM RED ALE 4.6% abv.
A glorious Red Ale, full flavoured, with a crisp bitter finish.
2. BEDLAM PORTER. 5.0% abv.
Pale, Crystal, Brown and Chocolate malts, blended with fresh Fuggles and Goldings hops, offer full on roasted aromas combined with chocolate and coffee flavours.

Longman Brewery, Littlington, East Sussex.

3. SLEEPING GIANT. 3.8% abv.
This straw blonde session bitter showcases Australian hops Ella and Summer to create an ultra-refreshing pale ale, with a balanced bitterness and dry finish.
4. SCARY MAN. 4.3% abv.
This original dark beer has soft malt notes of coffee and chocolate that combine with a pleasant light hoppiness to create a rich, full tasting Old Ale of times gone by.

Gun Brewery, Gun Hill, East Sussex.

5. RED ALE. 4.4% abv.
Our take on an English Bitter. Except it’s more than that. Six malts combine with German, UK and Kiwi Hops hops. Unfined, naturally hazy, and suitable for vegans.
6. VELO DOG. 5.5% abv.
Strong and hoppy, a satisfying pale ale with tropical, floral and lemon notes. Brewed using a healthy dose of UK hops accentuated by fruity and aromatic American hops.

Riverside Brewery, Steyning, West Sussex.

7. SNEAKY STEAMER. 5.1% abv.
Four different hops are used in this beer giving it a pine / floral characteristic with a hint of grapefruit.
8. TUBBERS’ TIPPLE. 5.6% abv.
The beer has an earthy / spicy characteristic with just a hint of honey

Hammerpot Brewery, Poling, West Sussex.

9. OYSTER POND STOUT. 4.2% abv.
A toasty medium bodied dry stout. Black with a lovely dense creamy head balancing the sharper burnt flavours.
10. BRIGHTON BELLE. 4.6% abv.
Golden to pale amber American Pale Ale. Fresh floral hops notes, spicy orange, crisp grapefruit and a hint of caramel.

Cellar Head Brewery, Framfield, East Sussex.

11. AMBER ALE. 4.0% abv.
Hugely satisfying and beginning with a sweet, floral aroma of orange blossom. Pale and Crystal malts combine with a light addition of Amber giving a firm, smooth, biscuity and toasty, malt flavour.
12. AUTUMN PALE ALE. 4.5% abv
An enormously gratifying and balanced pale ale. Very pale and light malt flavours are accentuated by four heavy charges of England’s finest hops.
13. FESTIVAL PALE ALE. 4.8% abv.
A pleasurable craft keg pale ale with tangerine aromas and a balanced maltiness, leading to flavours of marmalade and stoned fruits. Finishes with a firm bitterness.

14. SUSSEX BEST. 4.0% abv.
THE classic, Sussex bitter, available on the bar inside.

Adnams Brewery, Southwold, Suffolk.

15. GHOST SHIP. 4.5% abv.
An easy drinking, pale ale. Available on the bar inside.

St. Austell Brewery, St.Austell, Cornwall.

16. PROPER JOB. 4.5% abv.
A superb, hoppy Cornish Pale Ale, and a regular on the bar inside.

The Craft Corner…

17. Meantime London Helles Lager 4.3% abv.
Big, juicy Hallertau Blanc hops paired with Spalt Select hops for a crisp, bitter finish. The end product is light, hoppy and slightly sweet, with plenty of malt body, a subtle bitterness and hints of pine.
18. Brew Dog Punk IPA.5.4%abv.
Layered with new world hops to create an explosion of tropical fruit and an all-out riot of grapefruit, pineapple and lychee before a spiky bitter finish.
19. Lagunitas IPA. 5.5% abv.
Lagunitas sets the bar for IPAs. With 43, yes count them, 43 different hops and 65 various malts, this is a well-rounded and highly drinkable IPA.
20. Hop House 13. 5.0%abv.
A crisp and full-flavoured lager with subtle malty notes and fresh hop aromas with hints of Apricot and Peach


Village Green Cider, Turners Hill, West Sussex

It doesn’t get any more local than this! Ben Fairhall has been making excellent cider in the village for a few years now,and these easy drinking, crisp ciders are well worth a try. £4.20/PINT
