Tasting Notes.

Greyhound Brewery,

West Chiltinigton, West Sussex.
1. B46 DARK AMBER ALE 4.6% abv.
B46 has a good balance of warm biscuity malt flavours moving towards toast and blackberry, which linger on the palate assisting a clean hoppy finish.
2. WHITE BIRD WITTE BIER. 5.1% abv.
A cloudy light straw beer in the Belgian style, with hints of spice and bitter orange. A refreshing beer for summer days

Longman Brewery,

Littlington, East Sussex.
3. LONG BLONDE. 3.8% abv.
A light coloured golden ale with a distinctive hoppy aroma and crisp clean bitterness on the finish. Smooth light and refreshing.
4. WILD MAN. 5.2% abv.
Church Farm Pale and Crystal malts provide a classic backbone for British hops both old and new. This quintessential and complex IPA has wild fruit aromas and a traditional hop bitterness

Westerham Brewery,

Westerham, Kent.
5. BRITISH BULLDOG. 4.1% abv.
A rich, full bodied best bitter in the traditional Kent style. Finest Maris Otter pale ale malt and crystal malt for colour and richness. Hopped with local Kent Northdown and Finchcocks’ Whitbread Golding Variety and finished in the Hop Rocket with Progress hops from Scotney Castle and Goldings from Finchcocks hop garden for a full flavour and aroma.
6. FINCHCOKS EXPERIMENTAL HOP No.5. 4.5% abv.
This golden ale is brewed using hops grown on the Finchcocks Estate, so new it has no name, just a number! Floral, citrusy, even grassy notes – drink in the Springtime!

Cellarhead Brewery,

Framfield, East Sussex.
7. GOLDEN ALE. 4.3% abv.
Vienna and Cara malt give this beer a sweeter and fuller body. Kent grown Challenger and Bullion hops provide citrus and blackcurrant notes.
8. SINGLE HOP PALE ALE. 4.6% abv.
Maris Otter and Vienna give the light malt base to our monthly changing beer. This pale ale perfectly showcases the Alliance hop and it’s unique characteristics

Hammerpot Brewery,

Arundel, West Sussex.
9. THIS ENGLAND. 4.1% abv.
A crisp, pale tan bitter, with pleasant biscuit malt flavours aqnd fresh aromatic citrus and floral hop aromas.
10. BELGIAN I.P.A. 5.2% abv.
Mango, pink grapefruit, orange and pine combine with a clove/ coriander spiciness and balancing malt sweetness in this complex, Belgian yeast fermented IPA.

Burning Sky Brewery,

Firle, East Sussex.
11. PLATEAU. 3.5% abv.
Pale gold in colour, with a crisp malt edge and sharp bitterness. Plateau has been hopped at different stages of the brew, with a big mix of US & NZ hops to satisfy the discerning drinker.
12. AURORA. 5.6% abv.
A premium strength pale ale, ‘Aurora’ has a satisfying blend of malts to provide a juicy backbone and a pale amber colour.An expansive blend of US hops give a resinous mouthfeel – big citrus & tropical fruit flavours, which are prominent, yet well balanced..

Harveys Brewery,

Lewes, East Sussex.
13. BEST. 4.0% abv.
Sussex Best is a superbly balanced bitter with prominent hop character. Finest Maris Otter malted barley is supplemented with a dash of Crystal malt for balance.

14. FAT SPRAT. 3.8% abv.
Fat Sprat is brewed with Pale Ale malted barley, Munich, Cara and Black malt, with Columbus, English Goldings, Cascade and Chinook hops. It has a lovely citrus, grapefruit aroma with some spicy notes. On the palate, the citrus character of the hops shines through, balanced with a light biscuit flavour and a crisp, dry finish. Meantime Brewery-

Helles London Lager 4.2 % abv
Big, juicy Hallertau Blanc hops paired with Spalt Select hops for a crisp, bitter finish. The end product is light, hoppy and slightly sweet, with plenty of malt body

Marstons-

Revisionist Lager 4.0% abv
Crafted with Lager Malt and a hop blend of German Hallertau Magnum & Tradition, Slovenian Styrian and dry hopped with British Admiral & Boadicea varieties to deliver a refreshing easy drinking beer with a subtle citrus orange marmalade flavour

Marstons-

Shipyard American IPA 5.0% abv.
Combining the finest malted barley with a whole bunch of audacious American hops. This refreshing and gutsy American IPA is crisp and refreshing, and explodes with a grapefruity, citrus flavour.

Goose Island –

Goose IPA 5.9% abv
Sparkling clear and copper in colour, it almost looks like a lager but its pleasant hop flavours are clearly reminiscent of an elegant English IPA. With subtle citrus hops, biscuity malts, a smooth, light body and the perfect balance of sweet and bitter
